“Best Stunt Films of All Time” List … But With No Jackie?!
Slate posted an intriguing story by stuntman/author Kevin Conley about what stuntmen consider to the best stunt films of all time.
Conley’s article is not complete in my book, but it is thought provoking, well-written and witty. I can’t necessarily say he’s wrong, as he says this list comes from his and his colleagues’ personal opinions. But still, how can one compile a “best stunt films of all time” list and not include a single Jackie Chan flick?!
Has he never heard of Chan’s Police Story or Police Story 2? How about Project A? Who Am I? Armour of God? In fact, you could practically pick at random any of Chan’s films from the ‘80s or ‘90s and they would still top half the movies on Conley’s list.
But check out Conley’s story, watch the clip below of Police Story’s climatic set piece, and then tell me what you think.
