Scored Another Stunt-Fighting Gig!
Well, I got the role!
I’m officially a part of The Haymaker, a short movie about a street punk who takes up boxing after a trainer takes a liking to him. I don’t know much more than that as I haven’t even seen the script. But I know I’ll be in good hands. The stunt coordinator is John Kreng (who’s worked with everyone from Jet Li to David Carradine) and the boxing trainer is Jeff Mulvin (Price of Glory), one of top instructors under Benny “The Jet” Urquidez.
I might have 14+ years of martial arts experience, but I’m still looking forward to getting my butt whupped by them so I can look more like a boxing bruiser. We already did some preliminary training and I feel good about what they told me to work on. No major problems, just a few minor adjustments needed. I’m feeling good about it all.
